Spares For Frat

Postby lammac » Fri May 08, 2009 5:48 pm

:help

Hi

We bought a second TC, a red one this time with all sorts of red parts etc, go with our Blue version, just before Christmas, it was bought as seen on Ebay, and we were under the impresion that it was a runner, but alas, on closer inspection it appears that the gears and clotch in the FRAT are goosed and therefore no runner.

Does anyone know where we can get new parts for the FRAT, help would be very helpful.

Thanks

Ok no look so far in finding the parts we need :banghead , put some pics on this time so that everyone knows which bits we need. Could do with finding either these or a Terre Crusher for spares or a spare FRAT.

Many Thanks

Complete FRAT on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tamiya-Terra-crusher-complete-center-trans-FRAT-NEW_W0QQitemZ290401295790QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439d441dae

Go here: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=43501 and click on the Exploded View button. Zoom in to the lower right corner to see the FRAT and then from there, tell us which parts you need.

Hi McFig, looks like I was to late for the one one ebay.

Ideally the whole FRAT as shown in the ebay link that way we can take out the old duff one and just drop in the new one, but I'll have to try and get you the part numbers for the two bits shown in the pics and let you know thanks.

Many thanks

Ok the parts that are required are the Centre Diff for second gear and Clutch Bell in the top section (see pic below), I beleive what hat has happened id that the previous owner had had it running full reverse and then slammed it into forward without slowing or applying brakes :willy . This particular Terra Crusher was bought on fleaBay beginning of last year as 'running last time out' unfortunantly they forgot to tell us that the last time out this was the result. Bought as seen in red, would love to have both red an blue versions running together but at the moment only got a blue runner. So if anyone has these parts and be willing to prt with them please let me know, as all the other gear box parts seem to come up for sale apart from these two.

Thanks

something else must have happened because the frat was made for going from forward to reverse without stopping. i've had mine from the beginning and it's still going all stock except for the cooling head. i actually like this truck. i've had no problems with it . good luck with your's.

Part number: 9415854
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=9415854

If you were in the USA, you could just order it from the site listed above. But now you can do a Google search for that part number.
