GPM: carbon pads steel disk

Postby daycrusher » Thu Jul 09, 2009 6:04 pm

Ok, I got carbon pads and steel disk installed, problem is there extremly tight. I'm thinking of running it and see if they loosen up. I know somone on here had them, but didn't leave any info on them, anyone has any experiance with them or suggestions?

Well I ran the truck today to try to were the pads down..... I ended up glazzing the clutch bell and ruining the shoes. The carbon pads are almost 2 times as thick as the stock pads, if anyone wants to use this setup you have to sand the carbon pads down, thats a later project for me since I have them. :tam

Ok I screwed up when I installed the brakes, blond moment forgive me. The two steel disk go next to each other the carbon pads go outside of the disk, now it is perfect, I'll share results when my 2 speed clutch comes in. can some one tell me how to post pics directly to my post?

You have to upload the pictures to some hosting site like photobucket.com, imageshack.us or if you are a memeber on this site you can upload the pics to the Image Gallery.

Either way, once you have uploaded them you then right click on the pic and got to properties. You will see a URL in the properties menu. Highlight that and copy it. When you post here you click on the image icon and paste in the URL.
